From the Beeb
I think there's a few people on this forum who could take note of the last paragraph.
I'll now sit back and wait for the first shining wit (move over Reverend Spooner) to reply with a post full of question marks, exclamation marks and emoticons.

Overuse of signatures, punctuation etc
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

I THINK YOU ARE WRONG
For when the One Great Scorer comes to write against your name,
He marks - not that you won or lost - but how you played the Game."

Re: Overuse of signatures, punctuation etc
Whereas there are some who might agree notwithstanding that others take an opposing position there can be little doubt that whilst over ellaboration can, at times, result in the point being made being lost at others it well might, in fact, add versimilitude to an otherwise boring and unexciting tale (acknowledgement to W.S. Gilbert).

I'm deeply impressed with your humility.
"unexciting tale" should read "unconvincing narrative" - which of course describe 90% of the rubbish we all write on here. (I reckon mine's more like 99.99%.)

Re: Overuse of signatures, punctuation etc
It reminds of a time when I said to a very clever lady (who happened to be the close relative of an extremely dangerous gangster) don't over use the exclamation mark, because you're trying to tell the reader that you've written something amazing, whereas it is up to the reader to decide.
Fortunately she thought the advice was excellent and thanked me, hence I'm still alive.
