Great player. Will be missed. Hope he stays in the game - articulate man, modest even, should replace Guscott on the Beeb in my view.
I could agree with you...but then we'd both be wrong.

My absolute favourite recent player. Thanks for all the great games, and hope you and your family forgive rugby for knackering you. I am going to the Bath game on Friday and was hoping to see Lewis play (can we spell his name right on this thread, Sapajo :smt001 ) Oh well, I'd rather not see him if it means he would be exacerbating an injury, but I really hope he comes onto the pitch to get an ovation, it would be great for the Tigers and Bath fans to get a chance to thank him for all his years of brilliant full-on rugby.

All one can say is "Thank you". :smt038 :smt039

Absolutely guarantee that nobody can think of any occasion when he didn't appear to be trying!!

Never known a player to put his body on the line like Moody did. I guess it finally caught up to him. But it was that attitude and Tiger-like spirit, that cements him as a true legend of the sport. :smt001

How very sad.
Shame he didn't finish his career in a Tigers shirt........However, do I smell an end of season Leicester v Bath testimonial??

Sad news but not surprising considering how he put his body on the line everytime he put on a rugby shirt. Great player and will be missed.

Thanks for the memories MadDog Moody

Four words from me ;

Thank you Lewis - a true servant to the game.
Hambo :- He was with England when he was injured, but he was a Tigers player, our player. He is still our player.”

A legend and a gentleman. A role should be found for him on the coaching staff at Welford Road.

Good luck Moodos :smt023

great player - legend - always played 100%

loved it when he came back in a development game when the were more than twice as many as the city had at their cup game...

a real role model who will be missed on the field...
cheers

May the 5Th should bring a good Tigers send off for Mad Dog, 24,000 giving their appreciation to him is what he deserves

A true legend in a Tigers and England shirt, it would be lovely to see him acknowledged at Welford Road when Bath visit us for our last home game of the season. :smt001

A heartfelt goodbye to a genuine superhero and all-round nice chap. Hopefully he'll segue into coaching and breed a new generation of loose forwards willing to sacrifice personal safety for possession stats.
By my recollection that just leaves our Julian and Mike Tindall from the 2003 RWC squad, who'd have thought it.

I hope the Bath crowd give him the same kind of send-off he would have received at WR. Who will cheer loudest for him at the LV - Tigers fans I would hope!

Will he coach? Whatever, good luck MadDog, a True Tiger.

For me he already had the perfect send off, I wont ever forget chanting his name as he paraded the premiership trophy around twickenham one last time in a tigers shirt. Thanks again Moodos, my favourite ever back row player by a country mile.

If you're referring to those still playing, what about Messrs. Balshaw and Wilkinson?
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.
