How about when a Tigers player gets tackled we have a bit of Englebert Humperdinck?

I think they had it about right the season before last:
Emerson, Lake & Palmer ~ Intro of Fanfare for the Common Man,
Eminem ~ Lose Yourself,
Smoke on the Water.

Mucked it up last season by adding the irritating 'Standby for Action', which was so loud I took to using earplugs. This year they can't seem to get the timing right. Today 'SOTW' had barely started before the team ran out.

A good pre-matcher could be Queen's 'We Will Rock You'.
Guaranteed to get the crowd stomping/clapping and should filter down into the dressing rooms!
Geordie always said he liked to hear the noise above him from the Crumbie just before a match as it helped rev the team up before coming out.

Well something where the crowd could tap in time would be nice - SOTW defeats most fans by the first repeat (you should have one clap on a silent beat, one beat falls between notes etc). That's why I prefer a simple piece.....
Leicester Tigers 1995-
Nottingham 1995-2000
Swansea (Whites) 1988-95
A game played on grass in the open air by teams of XV.

Noticed this myself today, but to be fair I wouldn't be surprised if it was at the direction of the officials, to get both teams out on the pitch ASAP due to the temperatures.

If that were true surely we could have dispensed with all that rubbish at half time & got on with the game!!
Only Geordan seems to time the arrival on pitch at correct time!!

The earplugs quote was due to the fact that I am seated under a very loud speaker that is prone to distortion in The Cat Stand and 'Standby for Action', was just too much to bear.

Incidentally, I'm a child of the Stingray/Captain Scarlet/Thunderbirds/Joe 90 era too! :smt004

They used Welcome to the Jungle at Notts - sounded absolutely brilliant; but then someone else took over and was nearly lynched when they played Eye of the Tiger :smt003

I've never understood why Tigers dont use Eye of the Tiger - its perfect!

David Bowie - We could be heroes.

Absolutely made for a hand clap, and a good message.

Theopening riff from AC/DC's "THUNDER" would transpose perfectly to a chant of "TIGERS"! :smt038

That makes three of us.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.
