From the Beeb

I'm sorry Kinny, I respect your views on football but how can this happen?
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Jesus! Having spent time working in Nigeria, I would never go to a big match in Africa. It's unbeleivably intimidating and the fact the fans were allowed to carry knives into this stadium was utter madness.

Not that many years before SA was allowed to stage the Football World Cup, a team coach in SA was macheted to death on the pitch witnessed by tens of thousands of fans and a large TV audience.

A terrible incident for Egypt and football. Why they were playing games when supporters have clashed before with such a small police force i dont know.

Apparently during the troubles in Egypt the police have taken some stick for being heavy handed. So for this, of all matches, they decided to keep a low profile.
