Good effort so far boys. Much better in pretty much every facet.

Parling, Salvi, Staunton, 12T, Tait and Morris standing out so far for me.

Keep it up! An unlikely win is there for the taking!

Much much better effort from all. Grindall's kicking from hand isn't up to the mark though, it's killing us at times.

The most amusing part of this game is bleddyns various pronunciations of abendanon. Various additional u's, a's, m's and n's. Currently its Abun-damon :-)

Have done our best to throw this one away. OK so the heat has sapped energy etc but the last 10 we are back to the worst of last week.

Painful but improved.

I hope Mickey Young is fit for next week, and Parling made an impressive return.

Bath 26 Tigers 25 Full-Time

Staunton had a kick in the last minute to win the game, but after a perfect kicking display, unfortunately slips it past the right-hand post.

Sounded a much more spirited affair than last week though.

I would have taken a LBP if offered before the game, so well done boys!

Hopefully Alex and Castro may be back for next week. Anyone know whether they will be subject to the same rest period as the English boys?

Quins next week - they've scored 6 tries today - it doesn't get any easier does it! :smt009

^ This! His kicking from hand was far too poor today, kicks through, box kicks etc were pretty aimless. Still far too slow at the breakdown as well.

Far far better effort from the lads though, more late withdrawals (Hamilton) didn't help but apart from the last 10 mins we looked like a team that wanted to win. Parling impressed on his return, didn't look much like a player that's had 2 mins of rugby in a year or so. Lineouts continue to be a concern, Chuter's throws aren't hitting the mark, even Tom Youngs was way way off with his first. Not sure what Cockers can/will do after that, only so much sugar you can sprinkle around. I don't think we threatened their line anywhere near enough, and Bath were pretty dire themselves.

However, after last week I'd've taken a LBP on the road to Bath (obviously would've liked the win), just very disappointed that we managed to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Don't blame Staunton for the last gasp miss though, not the easiest kick.

So harsh on Staunton, who had a blinder. Missing his only, and most difficult kick of the day to win it at the death. But considering the pressure Bath put us under for most of the game, that was a great effort. Last weeks Tigers would have lost by a large margin again. This weeks fought like they wanted it.

They never gave up and played hard. Good to see the scrum finally going in the right direction, with hopefully Castro to bring back next week, and Alex to give us an extra edge in attack. Quins though are in sparkling form. (A belter played at The Stoop by the way).

And Parling made it through 80! Outstanding.

Didn't see all of the game but we looked a lot better than last week, but Bath didn't look brilliant. Indeed on that showing I can't see how we're so far behind them - oh yes, this is the first time we've looked like a team, and Parling bought some much needed grunt, skill and determination into the pack (from what I saw). Well done and a shame about not winning.

How did the Staunton/12T pairing work?
Opportunities always look bigger going than coming.
