Sounds familiar.

We flew from Leeds/Bradford for the last match and I got severe flak from a Leeds supporter at LBR. If there's any Yorkies at EMA on Friday morning, I'll happily take it again if we get the same result as last time.
Whatever you do, don't argue. We might never hear from you again.

Tough win for us today. Can't remember any of the backs touching the ball in the first half. Didn't think anyone (Tigers) from 9 to 15 had a good day at the office today but pleased to see no one injured. We're going to step it up a few notches next week that's for sure. Easter deserved his MOTM; Marcos deserved his red card for the headbutt and Mahler for the punches. Didn't like the crowd booing at the end though, Wayne Barnes isn't responisible if Quins props can't scrummage legally.
P.S. As for the apostrophe there's one very simple rule - 'Use one when letters are missing'. Simples!

A win is a win.

The table says it all.

Very poor game management by Barnes and even worse enforcement of the Laws of the Game.

IMHO.

Did anyone see any reaction from Castro to the crowd booing? :smt017

Not sure if the above is serious. IMO the refereeing was outstandingly good today, as it almost invariably is with this referee.

I assume you are joking!!
Barnes was consistent (as replays showed) Quins prop yellow deserved. Skinners yellow harsh, marler & Marcos red cards? yes in todays regime, 10 yrs ago 2 yellows would of been right. He got most decisions spot on (despite his pompous " do not speak to me like that" comments)
overall a poor game from Youngs and flood, thought Newby was superb as were Mafi and slater.

a wins a win....

Absolutely serious. Two red cars, three yellow cards, a penalty try - three yellow card offences ignored.

Extrememely poor game management. No rapport with the players and little appreciation of the laws of the game.

Thought Barnes controlled a very firery game well. Was right with the penalty try(although perhaps should have awarded it sooner)and also was right with the 2 red cards.

Why should the penalty try have been awarded earlier?

The scrum kept on going down in the front row and Tigers did not make any progress towards the try line until 2 players had been sin binned.

I thought Wayne Barnes had a good game.

Then I would hate to see him have a bad game!

5 Red Cards, 23 yellow cards, a punch up every 2 minutes?

I suppose that would have been worse.

Slightly off the subject but does anyone know or did anyone see what happened after the match?..I was at the stoop today and clearly saw Chuter go up to some Quins fans and had to litterally be pulled away by Crane. Not quite Cantona stuff but something clearly kicked off.

I'm not always good with the rules, and I didn't think he was too bad, but I thought that we came unstuck a few times as a result of Barnes allowing the 1st up tackler to go for the ball without "letting go" first. Also, he didn't seem too bothered overall with side entry at ruck time.

However, we were woeful for most of the game. Thinking ahead to next week perhaps?

Take the win though!

I agree, shocking behaviour by Wayne Barnes... he really shouldn't have incited all of the players to start niggling and eventually start punching and headbutting each other. He is entirely to blame.

Back in the real world, it's very slightly possible that the players were fired up for this game and wanting to even a few scores. Hence the frequent handbags and flare ups. Other than sending players off sooner (and for what?) I struggle to see what any of the officials could have done.

It was just a feisty game and there wasn't, in my opinion, any more off the ball activity than any other game I've seen recently. It's just that tempers flared on one or two occasions which resulted in a bout of fisticuffs (and headicuffs) and two rightful red cards. The two yellows were just for persistent infringements in the red zone - nothing to do with tempers and thoroughly good reffing.

I did feel WB let players away with a lot of infringement at the tackle area, specifically not releasing the tackled player. In some cases he then pinged the attacker for not releasing the ball, despite the fact the tackler never let him go (and, in at least one case, was actually incapable of releasing because he'd been wrapped up). Other than that, though, a good performance.
