Reflink wavelength

Post by fleabane »

Can anyone help please?

Does anyone know the wavelength used on the reflink? Now that we don't have the system any more, I would like to get a radio that can pick it up.

Thanks :smt023

Sorry to be negative - but I don't think that you will be able to pick up the reflink anymore at WR. I have ben using a sports radio for a while that scans from 59 - 65 FM and has picked up the Sky TV broadcasts and the reflink in the past and works at other grounds. Unfortunately this year it just doesn't pick up anything at WR. They must be using a completely different frequency range.

However if someone knows............

Ref! Link, when available, is broadcast on a seperate system. The signal is encrypted and cannot be picked up on any standard radios or shortband recievers.

The Ref! Link system is not being used at Welford Road this season and therefore recieving the Referees comments is not possible.

Thanks Steve, you have confirmed my fears. Do you know why Tigers don't have reeling this season?

I bought a radio earpiece outside WR before the perpignan match, was told it should work for all matches and it did work very well for that one, giving me an interesting insight and a couple of great laughs, but hasn't worked again since. Had thought it might work only for HC matches but didn't for Treviso, did they see me coming or should it work again? has anyone else bought one with more success?

GWrxtiger, the radios that were used at the Perpignan game were done by Ref Talk which is the company that ERC use for the Heineken Cup games. Treviso was not a featured live coverage match and was on the red button so this may be the reason that your radio did not work.

I just wish the refs would get on the same wavelength as the players! :smt048
