Home Shirt 2011-2012 - radical new design spotted
Home Shirt 2011-2012 - radical new design spotted, requiring maximum design effort, building on 2010-2011 Away shirt design excellence.

Please, please tell me this is just a wind-up!

Why did you bother to replace Cotton Traders .
Re: Home Shirt 2011-2012 - radical new design spotted
Nice one!
I think we were duped by CT over the current away shirt.
The next home shirt must be radically different to those they supply to other clubs.
Heretical bit: Please can we have a shirt which represents a forward looking club. We should remember our heritage by including letters in the design for the players, but please can we have something more interesting than yet another set of hoops!

Look at what Biarritz do with the same colours!

I dont think Biarrits is the way forwards! It looks like a failing fashion students attempt to be "nouvelle vague". The hoops are tradition and I think they should be kept but perhaps Jazz it up a little. I always feel the away kit is the one to be a little more daring! Perhaps the new England 7s design could be incorporated.fleabane wrote:Nice one!

I really like the new 7s shirt - I thought it would be a good look for our next away shirt.
The basic design could easily be adapted to fit our home colours, but you can't have that and hoops!
(Still think Biarritz look good! I have talked to a number of people who I stand with on the Crumbie, and we thought a proper brief given to fashion students could produce a really stunning design. As part of their coursework, they would have to produce to the brief.
I have a vested interest in unis building ties with clubs or other organisations and offering real life challenges to their students.
Why shouldn't we give it a try? Whatever happens, the results can't be worse than what has been concocted between the club and Cotton Traders.

Couldn't resist! And couldn't wait for 1st April. Had hoped my dodgy 'paint' skills would have given it away sooner!
My little bit of satire on the Away kit and Training kit looking SO like Newcastle Away and Home kit. (Oh, and the tracksuit tops are EXACTLY the same.)
I realised it was inevitably going to be like that when I saw a silver (sorry, platinum) Caterpillar Van driving round West Norfolk. I even think that a Caterpillar Yellow colourway would have been better afterall.
Biarritz - it's a variation of the Basque regional flag. Red ground, white x cross, with green + cross superimposed.
Green (proper shade, not pine green) with red and white hoops, with white shorts did the club for a century. Can't see what's wrong with it myself.
However, I do appreciate that merch is an important income stream, so has to change. But there seem to have been some really good kits from other clubs in the last couple of seasons that have managed to retain something of the traditional, but also look contemporary.
I'm not totally against something along the lines of Leic Univ:

And for those who insist it must be tiger stripes, just take a look at this first, and be warned ... it's like a reject from Peter Stringfellow's undies draw:

Our group, stood on a very cold Crumbie Terrace, recently had the "Next Home Shirt" conversation and came to the conclusion that given the clubs seemingly never ending thirst for publicity and sponsorship recently, the job of designing the next home shirt should go to:~
Leicester's own:~

I rather fancy broad green, red and white hoops, with a nicely embroidered "Leicester F.C." badge, and ... well, nothing else, really.

I guess we will have to put up with "CATERPILLAR" and "Aviva" also emblazoned. But I am with you!Gate wrote:I rather fancy broad green, red and white hoops, with a nicely embroidered "Leicester F.C." badge, and ... well, nothing else, really.
Home shirt = broad green and red, narrow white;
Away shirt = narrow green and red, broad white.
Still keeping the faith!
