Does the club respond to emails?

Post by Tyzot »

I have emailed the club four times in the last month without a single reply.

Has anyone else had the same experience?

My experience is totally the opposite.

I have always had a response, normally within 24 hours, and when longer with an apology for not responding sooner.

Maybe it depends on who you e-mail and in what manner?
Still keeping the faith!

Tyzot if you PM me with the subject matter of your mail and the address where you sent it, I will see if I can find anything out.

Appreciate the offer Rizzo.

To be honest I'm happy to pursue it myself by phone.

The subject matter was (1) When are the yearbooks coming out - Now out anyway (2) The players training session (3) A question about the shop discount for ST holders. Plus follow up emails asking for an answer.

The emails were all sent to the address listed on the website contact list and were in the manner of "Can you please advise me about ......" and with the subject title reflecting the question. So nothing particularly contentious.

Tyzot. I've always received prompt replies to emails I've sent to the club. However, my emails have always been addressed to specific individuals.

Unfortunately I didn't know the name of the individual and used the general email address - but thought the subject line would have been enough.

At least it sounds as though others have had more success - I'll use a different approach in future.

I too have previously used the generic email address and had no response - so now phone up & this works much better !

Ditto Jay C. As soon as I used the persons specific email address I got a phone response within hours, I was very impressed.

All this beggars the question, Why do the club have a generic e-mail address if nobody seems to deal with e-mails sent to it?

I am assuming by generic email, you mean the tigers AT tigers dot.co.uk one.

The non-response to emails is being investigated.

If you are using a different email to the one above, please let me know.

Thanks for the update Rizzo. I have not corresponded with the club myself, but it would appear that quite a few others have tried via a generic address. I'll leave it to them to say which address they have ben using.

Yes. I enquired about purchasing a replica brick from the Walk Of Legends and had no reply. I gave up, thinking how rude it was of them.

My experience on emailing the club has always been brilliant. That is the people concerned have either emailed by return or called me. This is the case across the various departments and honestly have never found anyone who was unhelpful. I honestly wish more 'businesses' were like Tigers in this matter.
That said I have a used direct emails to people in the various departments so may have avoided the 'general' email box issue.

It's generally better to try and address emails to a specific person or department, but as I say, the issue of emails to that address is being investigated.

I tried [email protected] as per the suggestion on David Claytons page in the programme. After about 5 days without a response I resent it directly to David and he responded pretty much straight away.
