Autumn Internationals
Its about time they got rid of the Autumn Intl they make the Lv cup a mockery I know up and coming players and the academy players have got to get experience but not playing them all at the same time.Other wise they will become disillusioned

AI's are here to stay. They make £much for RFU.
It is the LV Cup that needs to be got rid of.

Re: Autumn Internationals
And the agreement about releasing England players early for cash - what's the use if you can't have the extra money in salary allowance?Bill W (2) wrote:It is the LV Cup that needs to be got rid of.
Re: Autumn Internationals
I think we could look to football for the solution and have time off during the autumn internationals for prem and magners. no other rugby might help boost ticket sales for the internationals as well.

And lose revenue for the clubs.kingol22 wrote:no other rugby might help boost ticket sales for the internationals as well.

Is the LV cup really a money spinner for clubs?? ............NO.tb1 wrote:And lose revenue for the clubs.kingol22 wrote:no other rugby might help boost ticket sales for the internationals as well.
Poor results = no ticket sales, but cost have to be paid in gateman, stewards, bar staff...etc etc

You are simply wrong. No ticket sales? Hyperbole much?WiggoTiger wrote:Is the LV cup really a money spinner for clubs?? ............NO.tb1 wrote:And lose revenue for the clubs.kingol22 wrote:no other rugby might help boost ticket sales for the internationals as well.

16000 were at WR for the Sequins game. How many were not ST holders?

Re: Autumn Internationals
16,000 by tigers standards is poor and attendances around the prem teams will be lower for the lv cup games. Can clubs like leeds that struggle for fans afford the lv cup when they struggled to get 4000 fans for a game against stade. around 2000 through the gates will not pay the bills better for the bars to be closed then open and losing money.
Re: Autumn Internationals
Its irrelevant, take the LV off the season ticket and the price will have to go down = lost revenue.Bill W (2) wrote: 16000 were at WR for the Sequins game. How many were not ST holders?
Re: Autumn Internationals
What is wrong with the current format? I love watching the AI's and we need to play the SH teams to improve. If we were stuck with just the 6N's each year the NH teams would fall even further behind! The LV is great experience for our youngsters as long as us fans accept that is it's main benefit. I would still go down to see what young talent is coming through and where else would these young players get such a good stage to learn the game at this level. It offers something between AP and the A league.

between the AIs and 6N that's 8 or 9 matches that are played that we lose internationals for. Will S wrote:What is wrong with the current format? Take into account the rest windows and the agreement for releasing England players and we lose them for 12-13 weeks.
If anything should be scrapped it should be the 6N and have a single international window of 5 or 6 games against NH and SH teams
