Tigers XV for Wanderers

Post by Darc Tiger »

Leicester Tigers Development XV: Agulla, Lewington, Smith, Twelvetrees, Robinson, Ford, Harrison; Harris, Duffey, White, Markham, Gulliver, Mafi, Rawling, Pienaar.

Plenty of opportunities for these boys to put their hands up after today! Looks a strong side. Subs not named.

P.S. Guess Amorosino is crocked.

Edit: Sorry just saw this: "Lucas Amorosino is among the replacements, with the rest of the bench to be confirmed ahead of kick-off."

P.S.S. What happened to Everard? Named in the England Under 20's for us, but surprised he isnt playing here. Is he dual registered?

Interesting that Mafi is named in the back row.

Also the news article says that Amorosino will be on the bench, so must be on the way back from his injury.

12T should have been on the bench instead of staunton today. First of all, he is better and then he has more versatility and so is able to cover more positions including the centres

After Duffy getting game time on Sunday, might we get a view of Hawkins tonight instead? Or even a certain ex-centre by the name of Youngs? After the inadequacies of our hookers yesterday, I'd be interested to see if we have one who can throw. Mafi will also be one to watch, if he's a good lineout jumper, he could get himself a spot in the 1st 15 sooner than later.

I thought I'd read somewhere that Rob Hawkins is crocked with an eye injury.

I like the idea of 12T getting game time at 12 in the development team. I wouldn't want to see him there against oposition like the Saints but if he could get a few development games under his belt then a 12, 13 partnership of 36 and Manu looks tasty!
