As mention on the 606 board, will the home kit also have the two and nine stars?

Are we talking about the shirt or Gate's anatomy?Rykard wrote:Has anyone seen it in the flesh? Does it look better in 'real life'

We're definitely talking about the shirt.
But having said that, "Gate's Anatomy", an English-language human anatomy textbook widely regarded as a classic work on the subject of the human body, and how it reacts to food and beer, as detected by its subsequent emissions, will soon be available in the Club Shop.
There's even a bonus chapter on Balti pies.
Kicks and scrums and ruck and roll.....Is all my brain and body need!

It promises to be a best seller. Will the author be doing book or pie signings?Kinoulton wrote:SaltyJackTar wrote:

Re: New Away Shirt
With the peppermint Saints, and this effort from Quins...http://www.union.quins.co.uk/news/12231.php...there is going to be a bit of 'colour' around to counter our insipid grey.
(Question - do Quins need actually need a change strip, or is it a money spinner? Can't think of many clashes.)
Back to the new Tiger grey - in the press release photo is it my ageing eyesight, or is Thomas the tank missing a CAT logo from his sleeve? Also, why no Aviva logos?

Re: New Away Shirt
I would of liked a shirt that when I spill my beer down myself (happens a lot) doesn't show up quite as much.

I'm not a fan of the new 2 and 9 stars adornment. I think that's unnecessary and pretentious. The idea originated in roundyball when the elite clubs (i.e. the former European Cup winners) wanted to differentiate themselves from the others - what more do we need to know? I would have hoped that our achievements would speak for themselves rather than resort to flaunting them.
As for the colour, I thought grey kits were a thing of the past as it was proven that grey was the least visible colour when taking part in sporting activity?
A bit of a stinker if you ask me.

That's Grey though. Apparently platinum is the equivalent of wearing a high visability vest in the sporting arena! Honest

Agree, on both points.
The star thing just smacks of the staff rewards scheme operated by a well-known fast food chain - not good!

I've just realised it's all a big wind up - Castro would never wear his socks pulled up like that in real life...The real new away strip must be White with Red & Green flashes after all

At night, on a muddy pitch, all shirts are grey.
Even platinum ones!

I was thinking more of a lighting session. Probably not at a bookshop though - too much in the way of flammable material around.

Gate, I hope you remember to do a suitable, alluring dance when the flame is lit.
Sponsorship deals may come and go but the CRUMBIE stand will always remain.
