Campsite help please

Post by Dave W »

Hello all, need a favour - we want to go camping end of July and thinking of South Wales or Cornwall. Can anyone recommend a really good site, ideally with pool and good facilities? Thanks, Dave.

From my experience of Cornwall, I don't think you will find many, if any, campsites which would have a pool.

However, there is a good campsite that I know of which is near Helston (I believe). The site itself is called Poldown. The toilet blocks are very clean, and I think there was a tennis table there last year.

Hope any of this helps?

Sun Valley near St Austell has a really nice indoor pool and is a very pleasant family-oriented site.

My sister and family have stayed there every year for about 15 years! Loads to do in the area. On a cycle track, very safe to take kids on and go to the beach, Lost Gardens of Heligan etc all walking/cycling distance

Check out UK Campsite - http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/sites - they not only list most campsites but visitors (campers) can leave their own reviews, which can be quite revealing!
