Sarries story rumbles on
Sarries and the RFU have been involved in a rather unseeemly row.

Real dummy out the pram stuff!
Re: Sarries story rumbles on
Worse! They just don't get it. Their comment board is just full of aggrieved "Nobody loves us" stuff. No, "Venter might have been wrong" at all! No humility just arrogance. OK, Tigers can be a bit full of themselves too but I expect that most here would accept that if we overstep the mark then we deserve to be pulled up, don't we?Goffer3404 wrote:Real dummy out the pram stuff!

Well they've a right to be arrogant, they are one of the most successful teams ever in the Premiership, or even the history of English rugby!
They had humility when they used to play at Southgate or Enfield Town football stadium, but none now.
I agree, they are in the wrong, but will take the responsibility or the consequences. As on another thread, real smacking of football club mentality. Is it the money????????
Even more reason to beat them in the final. If not, rugby "core values" may well take a real hit.

Ahem. You are going to have to explain that to me.Goffer3404 wrote:Well they've a right to be arrogant, they are one of the most successful teams ever in the Premiership, or even the history of English rugby!
.
I would rank Bath <spit>, Wasps <swat>, Glaws <hoot>, and Saints <chuckle> way above Sarries. And Tigers of course.
What have Sarries ever won?
Still keeping the faith!

Bill - they have won fans and the love of the media and RFU. Dont they have a higher average attendance than us
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.

Insofar as HHJ J. Blackett speaks for the RFU one of those three is clearly false, and I would question the other two!

Are all the matches they played at Wembley included in that statistic? If so, it would warp it somewhat.Fatonerocks wrote:Bill - they have won fans and the love of the media and RFU. Dont they have a higher average attendance than us

Re: Sarries story rumbles on
Bill! you disappoint me.
I've a large tongue that was most definitely stuck in my cheek on that one!
I also rank most other premiership teams above them.
I regret almost feeling sorry for them when Glaws showboated their tries a few years ago in the play offs only for Tuilagi to use Lamb as a "speed bump" in the final.
I sincerely hope that this is not the thin end of... , tip of.... , with regards to the game we all, currently, love.

Goffer, I think both Bill and I got what you meant! Sarries are the best. I am sure I read somewhere that they have the best attendance figures.
Of course this is my own opinion and other posters may have a different perceived factual viewpoint.
