News on Manu

Tigers head coach Richard Cockerill does not want to wait that long – as long as the club can finalise his legal requirements to sign a professional contract.

"He is waiting for the correct paperwork so that he can get a work permit," said Cockerill.

"If we can sort out Manu's issues, I would like to think that he is a player for now, not just the future.

"We are in the process of trying to sort out the issues involved and, hopefully, that will come out positively for us and him.
Cockers wants him, lets keep our fingers crossed!

It would be great news if we can sort his permit issues out.

I saw him in the SA game, as well as the last 3 A games and he looks a potentially destructive force against any defence.

I think it would give us a different dimension at centre.

Whilst he was immense in the Tigers Vs SA match, I remember, far more clearly, his hit on the fullback (I think) in the pre-season friendly against Munster........I felt that one at the back of the terrace!

Let's hope Cockers gets his wish!
Faithless is he that says farewell when the road darkens.

From what I've heard we'll break the bank to keep him. Cockers will have him in the first team squad next year if possible.

So, can we finish the "rumour" that he's heading off to Saint yet?...

A smaller one perhaps; he didn't actually give birth to all those enormous babies. I never have but it makes my eyes water just thinking about it.

FWIW 36 was being LOVELY to my 13 YO son, chatting and encouraging and I asked him if he was going to Saints. He laughed and said " I MUST be a prospect if that cr@p is starting already !". The answer was a categoric "no" :)
