It's been years since I've been on here!
As I'm taking a weekend off from playing, I've got myself some tickets to the Wasps game. How's everyone getting up there? I've got to drive in from Notts and was going to park by the cinema, but does anyone who's in Leicester think this is a good/bad idea? Should I park further out and get a taxi in or some such? What are the roads like at the mo?

Does anyone know if the top end of Western Boulevard is open again yet ie at the railway bridge?

Personally I am not fused if game is played or not.
If played it means hopefully a stuffing of waspies all be it having to stand in sub zero temps!!!!
If not played a nice day in keeping warm & safe.
By the way police advice says only make a trip if only absolutely essential is a Tigers match in this catagory???

Thanks Rizzo. (The answer's 'Yes' btw, but not for much longer). Interesting that the Leicester City Council and Electronic Local Govt Information Network (Elgin, geddit?) website I'd checked before asking the question here, couldnt answer the question so straightforwardly.

How about the train from and to Nottingham?
Re: Travelling to the game this weekend
East Midland Trains who we use from Newark (via Nottingham) to Leicester are running normally today, so fingers crossed for tomorrow.Ads677 wrote:How about the train from and to Nottingham?

All main roads and routes currently clear, the Council will be gritting all pavements in the area of the ground tomorrow morning before the game, the club have an army of volunteers clearing the terraces and spectator areas.

Providing there is no heavy snow in the next 24 hours, the game should be able to go ahead. Latest news that I have heard is that the pitch is frost free and should be okay.

Thanks for the train tip. When I say I'm coming from Nottingham, I'm actually driving from Surrey to a small village between Notts and Leicester from where I'm going to travel down with family, so the train' not viable.
Sounds like the drive should be fine according to the news, so fingers crossed.
Thanks for the advice everyone.
