Ospreys facing Scrum half crisis

Post by Tigerbeat »

Mike Phillips has picked up an injury and is out for about 3 months.

He has been a driving force for the Ospreys and will be a big blow to them.

Also there other SH Nutbrown is looking at a 10 week injury lay off after picking up an injury on Saturday.

I wouldn't say they had a crisis especially when you look at the amount of injuries tigers have.

Now that's a crisis.

Beat me to it - I would have said that we're short of nearly every position!

and as Ospreys play their second team against other second teams in the Magners each week it shouldn't matter until they play again in the HC. :smt013 :smt039

We don't want him - he's a liability. We are going to have to rely on Liam Davies, who joined us from Brive in the Summer. That pie-scoffer Goode describe him thus: "He’s got the best pass I have ever been on the end of,” said Goode. “Liam is an excellent prospect and it’s a loss to us.”

We're not sure though - after all, he used to be a Turk...

Alternatively, it's Shane to Scrum-half or Rhodri Wells, who played quite well at Welford Road last season.

All is not yet lost - after all, we got through half of last season without Phillips and Nutbrown. Another scrum-half injury is serious, though - we've got four out with long term problems at the moment.

Just wondering how short the Sprays are? They have cancelled their game against Camb Uni next week.
