Is there more than one God?

Post by Bill W »

The Premiership?

The Heinekin Cup?

The Magners League?

The Anglo-Welsh Cup?

The Six Nations?

The Tri Nations?

The World Cup?

Are they all ruled by the one all seeing and omnipotent being?

Or are all Gods being the invention of mortals (Marx) merely reflections of mortal weaknesses and incompetence?

Was there ever but a single plot in Essex?

Or gave we rather had multiple plots and worships multiple gods?

Well neither God nor Allah actually exist.

Whereas I do.

So I get to express an opinion.

Numero uno is the Heineken Cup. Has to be.

Next and very close bhind is the Guiness Premirship.

All the other competitions are quite nice.

Now it is such a bizarrely improbably coincidence that anything so mindbogglingly useful - Kinoulton - (is this correct? Ed.) could have evolved by chance that some thinkers have chosen to see it as a final and clinching proof of the non-existence of God.
The argument goes something like this: "I refuse to prove that I exist," says God, "for proof denies faith, and without faith I am nothing."
"But," says Man, "Kinoulton is a dead giveaway isn't he? He could not have evolved by chance. He proves you exist, and so therefore, by your own arguments, you don't. QED"
"Oh dear," says God, "I hadn't thought of that," and promptly vanishes in a puff of logic.

I certainly believe in Douglas Adams.

Is it possible that the Anglo Welsh Cup was created by the white mice who are experimenting with us to see if we will take it seriously?

God is the squad member with the number 42.

If no number 42, no God. QED

Kinoulton exists therefore he is (Sartre)

? Does Kinoulton exist?

Kinoulton thinks therefore he is (Descartes)

? Does Kinouton think?

?? If Kinoulton exists does he think???

Yeah verily for it was written that Kinoulton doth think.

And he did sayeth unto the multitude that he doth think that Varndell and Goode were good players.

And there was much wailing and gnashing of teeth within the walls of the forum. And the multitudes cast him out into the wilderness, saying "you are a false prophet, get thee gone from this forum".

And they placed a crown of thorns upon his head such that his blood would be spilt. Though it may have been a capsule.

Spud the Dog set a personal best by waking me up at 3:40 a.m.

There's no going back to bed then as I need to be up at 6 a.m. anyway, so I spent the early hours watching Brucie's Play Your Cards Right and Family Fortunes.
