Double header

Post by kingol22 »

Sarries 18 irish 14.
Good second half for Irish after being 18-3 down at the break. They take a bonus point from that game and it looks like Sarries may be strong this year.

Wasps 8 Quins 15 approaching half time.
Tom Varndell scored for Wasps and Monye and Camacho have taken one a piece for Quins.

Looks like TV is showing what the Tigers lacked at the end of last year and at the beginning of this. PACE! Even at the games grass roots, and by that I mean junior rugby, if their fastest kid is faster then your fastest kid 9/10 you will lose the game.

Still haven't found me shirt after last night, so it escaped incineration, but it may yet go up in flames!

With the width of the Twickenham pitch, he would have had more room to run than at Welford Road.

Twickenham must be one of the biggest pitches in England and help teams to create space for players to run into. Please correct me if I am wrong.

Sky Sports News mentioned, during a quick score update (and therefore an acknowledgement that the games were even being played), that there was some 'controversy'. Can anyone shed any light on this?

LessThanSte,

Quins 2nd row George Robson was sent off in the first minute, apparently for a head but. Towards the end of the game Pests were awarded a penalty try because the referee deemed that Quins were illegally removing pests from a maul.

Not sure which is more controversial, but I'd say the second one.
