Cracking game, cracking result. Thought Crofty was superb and Vickery put in a solid effort also. Well done lads.

An awful lot of good performances and some real 'hands up' from people like Croft (although Ferris' try in the 80th minute was pretty immense as well).

Tommy Bowe is now going to be very difficult to dislodge from the test team.

Here is a summary from the press on player ratings. Croft was the best forward but Roberts and Bowe stole the show. At least Croft showed what a stupid decision it was to leave him out in the first place.

Telegraph Times R365
Gethin Jenkins 7 7 7
Lee Mears 7 7 8
Phil Vickery 7 7 7
Alun Wyn-Jones 7 7 7
Nathan Hines 7 6 7
Tom Croft 8 7 8
David Wallace 6 7 7
Jamie Heaslip 7 7 7
Mike Phillips 7 6 8
Stephen Jones 8 7 7
Ugo Monye 7 6 8
Jamie Roberts 9 9 9
Brian O'Driscoll 7 8 8
Tommy Bowe 8 8 9
Rob Kearney 6 5 8

Replacements
Euan Murray 6 6 7
Ross Ford 6 6 6
Stephen Ferris 7 6 6
Andy Powell 6 6 6
Harry Ellis 6 6 6
James Hook 7 6 6
Shane Williams 6 5 7

Kearney - 5 - a long way behind Byrne
Bowe - 8 - built on a promising performance last time out, may now be in the test XV
BO'D - 7 - very good against poor opposition
Roberts - 8 - see BO'D, looks a banker for the 1st test
Monye - 6 - still naive in defence
Jones - 7 - very good after some early errors, moved ahead of RO'G
Phillips - 6 - still too slow where it matters most
Jenkins - 8 - must be the most consistent prop on the planet
Mears - 7 - always looks good against rubbish
Vickery - 6 - adequate
Hines - 6 - faded after a strong start
AWJ - 8 - I'd pick him over PO'C
Croft - 7 - strong first half
Wallace - 6 - improved showing after his 'mare on Saturday
Heaslip - 7 - put his hand up
