'Save the Vest'

Post by Captain Sensible »

Last year we had 'save the Herring', this year it must be 'save the Vest'.

Thought Sam was by far our best player today, showed passion, commitment and totally 100% effort.

Well done Sam, great performance today.
May be only 2 games you have played, but showed more passion than have seen all season.

Message to Peter Tom and Peter Wheeler - lets get him signed up for next year before someone else does and we miss out?

The sensible one has spoken - join the campaign!

Totally agree - thought Sam Vesty was brilliant. Good all round player, took some really hard tackles. Could certainly give Toby Flood a run for his money in the number 10 shirt. :smt023

Would it be too optimistic to get him on the Lions Tour :smt023 :smt002 :smt038 :smt041

Probably. But he has proved himself as a true Tiger who some of us always valued and had faith in.

'save the Vest'
Invest in the Vest!

I suggest a back line of:

Youngs, Vesty,
Hamilton, Mauger, Flood, J. Murphy,
G Murphy :smt038

Could play either Flood or Vesty at 13, mentioned today to friends that Sam could be the quick OC with good hands that we need. Too many big hitters without elusive qualities in our backs IMHO, Vesty or Flood could be the answer, but HQ probably want TF to play at 10 as much as possible.

Vesty has to stay and he has to play fly-half. Well done Sam you have always been A TRUE TIGER and like Johnne Murphy should be contracted for the next 2-3 years at least.

I think we should also get Ben Youngs signed up for a long time, although hes still young and third choice, he WILL definetely be Tigers first choice in the not too distant future. Please please please sign him up before other clubs spot his progress :smt023 :smt023 :smt023 :smt023

Re-signing Sam would be a sound investyment.

He's on red-hot form - a thermal Vesty.

I warn you - there are more where those came from.
