Matts approach is spot on here. "I wouldnt do it but dont ask me to judge".

Next time your kids start the "it's not fair" whine, show them that article so they can see how they should behave.

as an aside -
The CPS is currently being taken to court for failing to confirm whether they would prosecute in a case like this. A young lady with MS wishes to have the choice to do it, but doesnt want to get her husband in trouble. If they confirm they will not prosecute then she will go over last minute with him and do it, if not she has to travel over now, while she still can under her own steam, which means dying a lot earlier than she wants to. They have the chance to show the world they wont prosecute. As I have MS I am watching with interest. Although I have no plans to do similar who knows what the future will bring....

I have a friend with MS and you have my, and everyone else's I'm sure, sympathy. As a parent myself I just feel so sad for the parents and their position, regardless of your feelings about the ethics involved.

Matt H is a truly special person who has touched everyone who knows of his plight, but every case is different and special.

I went to primary school with matt hampson and he was an awesome lad then. And after all that he has been through he still manages to see the bright side to life. What a legend. Just a shame he didnt get the chance to challenge to become a Leicester Tigers, and maybe even England first team prop. :smt011

I am disabled myself, though not paralysed. When I start to feel a sense of self pity, I think of Matt's strength and courage and it inspires me to pull myself together.

Really great news about Hambo - in one way such a small thing, but in another, a really massive step.

Also (this is according to a post on the unoffy by Barney from the Wasps site - top man for all his waspiness) there's going to be a really big Hambo event at the end of the season - looking forward to that.

"For every father who spends his weekends stomping up and down a touchline..."

I know that feeling. After three years of Tag rugby my 8 year old is in his first season of contact. Seeing him flying into tackles and rucks, with no thought of injury (which is as it should be), sends my heart rate soaring...

Yes indeedy! Watch his space. Take some bread for the ducks. And dig deep when the call comes. :smt001
