Stage Names
It's Friday and I'm feeling silly, so let's have a go at inventing our stage names.
Apparently if you want a "porn star" name you take the name of your first pet, followed by the first street you lived on. In which case I'd be Ginny Woodborough. Pretty good if I was a transvestite.
But given that my real name is quite boring, I'd adjust it slightly and go for:
TONI LOVERONI

At the age of eight, I was going to be an actress, so I chose my stage name then. I took my favourite first name from my mother's names book, and added the last name of the American boy I met when we lived over there.

Clearly you would be cast as the rather cad-ish young fop, driving through the (oddly) quiet streets of London in your open top sports car, to pick up a pretty young blonde in a tiny mini skirt.KingKong(2.15) wrote:my stage name was given to me by my cricket club:

She would probably be played by Ptolemy Elizabeth.

No, it was a cat. My mother felt sorry for it because the neighbour's cat had kittens and they were going to drown them all, so my mother said she would have one (despite none of us liking cats). It got called Ptolemy because the mother cat was called Nefertiti (the neighbour was a classics scholar!).Gate wrote:I'm guessing that first pet was a tortoise?
