Most excellent. We now all have to sing his song:

Want ek verlang elke dag
Hier is my hart neem dit nou
Hier is my hart net vir jou

Liefling jy weet

Aaaahhh, bless.

I hope he does well for us....I also hope that Belper John's bottom does not heal up as the surgery would be expensive and interesting.....

Just checked out the Blue Biulls site, and they certainly have it as a done deal, with lots of stuff about how Hougaard really likes to work with Meyer and is keen to test himself against the best in the NH.

Did you notice the strange mixture between sickly sweet sentiment and business.

A lot about how brilliant Derick is, but also making it clear that to the 'company' it is good business.

I wonder what the 'conditions' are - apart from the fee!

Ah! Well spotted!! "Conditional upon certain conditions"

Tigers and Bulls evolving a "special relationship?

I am sure he is a good player, but...

Another foreigner, how is this going to fit in with player quotas (or is he here as some kind of kolpak).
Why do we not go for someone English or developed through the club?

Looking at the team for next season i am seeing a lot of foreigners.

No, Hougaard does come under Kolpak, which is good news and we do now have flood and ben woods and possibly biggs.

I feel we are doing our part by keeping young english players with plenty ov potential.

By my count, the overseas player count is actually down for next season. But I wouldn't harp on about foreigners too much, otherwise you end up sounding like that "mikeyphil" berk on the BBC606. What a petrol he is.

Such as.... Andy Goode?

Seriously though. How many "world class" english fly halfs are available, or more to the point, how many exist?
