I drew Croatia in the sweep at work, so keeping an eye on them.

Also a friend and I had a bet on Podolski to be top scorer and Germany to win the competition, and another on Villa to be top scorer and Spain to win the competition.

As much as it pains me....... COME ON THE GERMANS !
Our period of waiting is over - this is the time.

I'm finding it hard to give a toss.

If any one of Eire, England, Northern Ireland, Scotland or Wales was in there, I'd be supporting them through and through.

As it is, I feel a bit deflated.

I'm with you Kinoulton except that I find it so difficult to support the English soccer team. I try but my heart just isn't in it.
I am neither clever enough to understand nor stupid enough to play this game

Currently working in Vienna. In the same hotel as the Austrian national team.

Everybody around me in an Austria or Germany fan in the office.

So I am supporting Croatia.

Austrian team physio speaks perfect english and didn't find it funny when I asked if their striker wanted a "Couldn't hit a cows backside with a banjo" award.

I's a good job William Tell didn't show the same waywardness when shooting that apple off someone's head.

He could've took someone's eye out with that thing.

Spain for me in the sweepstake.

Must be said that without the distraction of a home nation, I'm just enjoying the tournament. No rabid press coverage of our "best hope since '66" as every tournament seems to be.

Kinny, you're feeling deflated ? You've let yourself down, you've let the forum down and most of all, you've let Leicester Tigers down !

....I'm here 'til Wednesday !
