The above link is a direct link to the government website to enable people to sign the petition to reduce the duty on fuel.
If we all do this then something surely must be done about this painful increase in pump prices.
Thankyou

Fuel Duty is Fair !!!!!! What planet do you live on KingKong ? Try living in a rural area where we have buses twice a day and these are usually late and due to cost of fuel the price to travel has risen .We live in a valley surrounded by wind turbines and have one of the best recycling ratio in the Uk but we are paying £1.31 per litre .So please sign the petition to save rural Uk Tx :
IMO King Kong is right - the price of fuel is about right. BUT, big BUT, the problem lies in the lack of realistic alternatives. Despite bleating on about sustainable transport for years, the government has made not a blind bit of difference. where there are any alternatives - and often there are none in rural areas - they are far, far too expensive.
it will take vast sums of money to sort it out. do you think they will use all the extra income from the price of fuel? or will hell freeze over first?

You are right CJ this goverment needs a reality check they tell us to use public transport but refuse to open the closed train station in our village which would allow 90% of the people who work in the next town the alternative of using the train ,and the fuel suppliers continue to raise prices especially in rural areas were we have little competition to keep them down .Coming to the game tommorrow on the train BUT have to drive 15 miles to the nearest train station !!!!!.
