I kow he's had experience at 10 beofre, but I don't think he's played their for Wasps with Cipriani and Walder there.

He's a good player though and a good hard runner with an eye for the gap - Goodie and Mauger will have to be at their best to deal with him.

Anyone remember the shocker Flutey had against us in a playoff semi at WR 2 seasons ago. Absolute shocker. It was the first time id seen him play and I wasnt 2 impressed with him at 10. Tho he may prove us wrong.

I think we will pinch it due 2 lack of continuity in their backs due to the reshuffle. Many believe that was our downfall this season.

I think this season is our weakest pack for a while. They definitely pip us there. Especially in the tight 5.

Their back line looks weak though. Mark Van G can easily be caught out. Flutely has never been a top class 10 and I think Varndell and Tuilagi can catch Lewsey and Sackey out

It'll be close, and it breaks my heart to say it but I think they'll nick it.

Well hopefully I've just put the kibosh on them - I placed a £10 bet on Wasps to win and I never win bets. Either way I'll win something...I just hope it costs me a tenner though!
Blimey...

Yes, Wasps are a good side. But no team is invincible.

On our day, I reckon our forwards can prevent theirs from getting any ball eg Cardiff EDF semi.

We can do it boys and girls!

I think IMHO that it will come down to individual errors/penalties, so we need to force them into making more than us.

Game On!! :smt023

Waldouk is an excellent young player, but he is pretty inexperienced (though he never plays like he is!), so I hop that the 10, 12, 13 partnership fails a bit.

I may be tempted to test Van Gisbergen early doors too, he has been know to make the odd mistake this season. Try an up and under, try a really hard fast grubber. Turn him around and make him play the ball.

Sackey will give nothing away, we all know that. We can't give him a sniff either in attack.

We need parity up from and creativity in the backs (as always really), and watch for the snipes around the ruck and lineout areas.

REALLY nervous...

We could also let Tuilagi run right over him :smt003 :smt023

Van Gisbergan

Post by smalldell »

For Van Gisbergen read Balshaw, he is always likely to have a shocker...you have ot really unsettle him early on and repeatedly.

Tactics

High ball - Try it twice, if it does not work change tact.

Unnerve him by cutting off other defensive options, he wont like the attention.
