As the rumour mill grinds on Marcelo's future really does look bleak. If these reports are anything to go by and they've quoted the fella correctly, his tone and choice of words certainly look to a change of head coach over the summer.

His comment of...
''I want to do my best to remain at the club, but decision is not mine of course." certainly doesn't sound positive to me, more ominous.
After the failure to beat The Falcons and the slimmest of mathematical chances of making the playoffs I'm not too sure how I feel about him leaving if that is the case.

Speculation and that great British Trait of kicking a man when he is down.

In one of the article he makes reference to the last World Cup season, where Deano got ousted.
He says something along the lines of "history repeating itself."
I said this about 6 months ago.
Realism is what is needed, not a knee jerk reaction.
Any decision to dismiss Loffreda would be a sad and damning indictment of the managerial and business skills of the Tigers board.

I would say that the recent approaches made to both Muir and Fletcher, back up Marcelo's comment about the board searching for a backs coach to assist him. I think that's what they're doing. I expect ML to stay.
So who else could be in the running for the job as specialist backs coach?

Tigers are remarkable for their strength and speed. They are named tiger for their speed, because in the language of the Medes and Persians the word for arrow is tigris.
I understand Brian Ashton could be availble.
Mike Catt, but likely Johnno wants him.
As Pete has suggested - Pichot.

I agree with SabreTooth, was just about to post the same thing myself.
With Fletcher's name being mentioned could that be a reason why Flood and Woods are so keen to come?
Catt's name has also been mentioned as a backs coach, and got a fairly positive reception on here, but I seem to remember Irish were pretty unhappy at the thought of us "tapping-up" their coaches/players.

Whilst in some ways I would absolutely love it if they got Ashton (though I doubt that's on the cards,) particularly after SCW's scathing critism of him; he thinks Balshaw is a great player. Enough for me to question his judgement. Ha.

There's an article in today's times about this which IMHO is far more balanced:
http://tinyurl.com/424o68
As it points out:
"Leicester embarked on a worldwide search for a successor to Pat Howard. They decided that Loffreda, coach to Argentina at the time, was their man, knowing he would not arrive until this season was two months old and that he would have to cope with the culture of the club and language difficulties. If the board decided that, after six months, he is not its man, that reflects on those who appointed him."
