Have to agree with most on here - another slightly Bizare selection given that this is a must win game and Worcs are proving that they are not there to be rolled over now.

Hipkiss, Rabeni, Murphy J. Erindle - where are they?

Why Mefin instead of Kayser? This is not a week to be doing rotation - do that by all means when we have some strength in depth!

Why 2 props on the bench? if we start getting injuries to back rows and second rows like we have been we could be in the mire - or have we completely exhausted all our back and second row options.

As everyone keeps saying an injury list along with the team sheet would be helpful.

Mr L - I hope you know what you are doing - because from here this season is looking a bit odd!

The following has now appeared on the home page which goes a long way in explantion

"Injury has cost Johne Murphy his place in the Leicester Tigers squad for the trip to Worcester Warriors this weekend – just the second time this season that the Ireland A international has missed out on a place in the matchday 22.
Murphy has started 19 of Tigers’ 24 games in league and cups, and has been named on the bench on a further four occasions.

But, after taking a knock in the Guinness Premiership victory over Leeds Carnegie at Welford Road last weekend, the 23-year-old sits out Saturday’s fixture.

Also unavailable for selection due to injury are Aaron Mauger, Seru Rabeni, Marco Wentzel, Ayoola Erinle, Luke Abraham, Christophe Laussucq, Lewis Moody, Richard Blaze and James Hamilton, while Dan Hipkiss and Ben Herring have picked up injuries since starting against Leeds Carnegie last weekend.

Martin Castrogiovanni is on international duty with Italy and will win his 53rd cap in the RBS 6 Nations match against France, while clubmates Tom Croft, Ben Kay and George Chuter are with England. Injury has cost Geordan Murphy his place in the Ireland squad.

Internationals Harry Ellis and Alesana Tuilagi, though, are included in the Tigers starting line-up for the trip to Sixways after their recovery from long-term injury."

That injury list helps to explain the selection - we are getting down to the bare bones!

Good luck to the team, and let's hope there are no further injuries after this game.

Looks like a cracking line up for the Worcester game given the injury info indicated in previous message. Good to see Harry and Alex getting the start but agree that midfield is a bit lightweight. Hope Leicester surprise us and rack up some points against Worcester.

Wow! That is some injury/unavailability list!

To be a top rugby club with international players and playing in several competitions, you seem to need about 3.9 sides of high quality players! Amazing.
Just a Yankee looker-on from afar.

it needs to be a cracking line up as Worcester will captialise on any mistake our boys make, they are strong and confident at the moment and that is a pretty dangerous combination.

Considering the first half of last weeks match against Leeds we definiately do not want to be playing CATCH UP rugby to Wuss, or any other team for that matter.

I'm a little concerned about Miffed Mefin, as Daily stated it's time for him to do the deed instead of talking about it...

Good luck for tomorrow boys, will be keeping an eye on the scores, feeling a little fragile so won't be making the trip but will be watching the internationals where twofers are on... yeahhhhhh

Memorandum

From John_o
To Leicester Tigers

Jolly good initiative shown this week in listing all those unavailable through injury.

Could you make a note to do this everyweek?
