Bemand may still get a second change with Leicester!

Accroding to the Merc, Tigers may be considering agreeing some sort of new contract with Scotty after he showed signs of a successful rehab at OP following the termination of his previous contract!

If true, it would be great news for both the club & the player but I don't think anyone should start counting chickens or holding breath quite yet.

Signs are promising, but agree with not getting the hopes up.

If we do get Scott and Harry back in the next few months our scrum half problem would be a thing of the past!

All good news, or at least positive steps in the right directions.

I don't remember seeing or hearing about Scot's contract being terminated, was it published by the club or did I just miss it?

Also does anyone know what the criteria is for having contracts terminated as some other players have had long term injuries, e.g. Rambeni, Ellis and not had the same sanction.

there was a large chance he was never going to play again GKbradley - but this looks to be less likely if he could be back within a month.

No, the club have never publically acknowledged that his contract had been terminated though it had been mentioned on this forum on occasion.

This is great news :smt003

i also think it would spell the end of Frank Murphys spell at Leicester as well, especially with Ben Youngs playing better then he is.

Scott, Harry, and Posibility of Alex back by March means that we can still go on and win the Prem :smt003

It seems I have taken as long a break from the orum as Scott has from first team rugby.

Well I am back (don't know why i went away as I still read the forum everyday; call it apathy or plain laziness)

I would love to see Scott back in a Tigers shirt; his injury at the time was so unfortunate he was pushing Harry for his place every week.

Love to see them both back and competing for the 9 shirt.
Come on Tigers!!!

you speak with such confidence on this matter - but i think you ought to acknowledge that Frank Murphy is probably our number 1 scrum half and is ahead of Ben Youngs as it stands.

Rugby times published a while back that Loffredda wants to sign 2 new scrum halves for next season (to cope with Laussucq retiring/being shown the door) and Bemands injury - if Bemand is to return (which we must remember is not for certain) then i imagine we will still sign one as we were shown to be rather thin in this area once again.

That would be absoloutley briliant if this was true! Scott is a class player.

I am probably being dumb here but what did he actually do?

Don't know but he did it against Bath last season! when we ended with 12 men due to the Tuilagi brothers both "resting" at the invite of the referee as well and having used up all our replacements!

seems like good news all round regarding scrum halves.

Glad to hear Scott may be back

Good to see positive news about Harry too - both Marcelo (in this article) and Cocker in his interview to BBC Leicester have indicated that all being well he should be playing again within the next 2 months
