Castro injury

Post by mightymouse »

anyone seen anything about this - it looked bad to me

was it a dislocation? - how long will he be out - I don't think whitey likes playing for 80mins anymore

Whilst I'm at it what is wrong with Stankovitch and how long before he is back?

Did not look good. Castro had to have oxygen so he must have been in extra ordinary pain.

Lets hope for a quick return. The Clubs Medical staff will look after him well.

We look to be a little threadbare on props again.

Who said we were overloaded with front-row signings?

Get well soon Castro and Stanks :smt010

I thought it looked at first like Castro's wrist but I've since heard reports that it was his elbow.

Either way, indications are that he will be out for some time.

Castro was at the development game this evening. He said that it could be up to six weeks out! (but he hoped for less)

i think that's what was predicted for Cozza when he popped his elbow, and i seem to recall he was back quicker, so fingers crossed for Castro...tbh tho, i had thought he looked like he might have been carrying a knock or substantial fatigue from the WC, so maybe the layoff will do him some good.

was it his elbow? it looked awful and he was obviously in pain. I was quite a distance away and it could even have been a shoulder from where I sit. nasty anyway.

Tigerbeat, Castro was given Entonox, the mixture given to reduce pain during childbirth. He was in extreme pain when he came off, and as white as a sheet. We stand behind the dugout, and I can't remember seeing someone come off in so much agony for some time.

Hope you get well soon Castro.

He was holding it rather carefully at the Dev game last night.

Look after yourself Castro, don't try and return too soon, however much we want you back!

My point exactly with regard to details on injuries....elbow ? shoulder ? wrist ?....4 weeks, 6 weeks ? ....the point being, if Tigers put something on the website, we wouldn't be in this situation. :smt013

if he is back in 4 - 5 weeks he could be ready to face London Irish on 29th December - which is the match my friends from New Zealand are coming to watch - excellent -

This guy is English but his kids consider themselves Kiwis - when I rang him in delight after the French victory over New Zealand - he seemed strangely subdued - then he said "I'm sorry mate I've got to go now, and calm the kids down - They're crying!!"

Hopefully we can treat the kids to a good Tigers win on 29th of December and not only get them to see Castro but Aaron Mauger in a winning side!!!

Richard Cockerill stated definitely on the post match Radio Leicester interview that it was Castro's elbow that was injured. He said it looked pretty bad but they would not know how bad until scans over several days had taken place and the medics had given their opinions.
