Gate, I agree...Rufus Wainwright is a genius !!

For my best album of the year, it's between "Our Earthly Pleasures" by Maximo Park and "Colour it in" by The Maccabees...I can't separate them.

Andrew Bird - Armchair Apocrypha

(as an album - I've got all the latest Yorkshire indie, some pop n 1s etc, but I tend to only listen to single songs off them, whereas Bird gets me every time)

There really haven't been that many amazingly good albums this year..... still, my vote goes to Our Earthly Pleasures by Maximo Park. Really good, got some quality tracks on it. Also liked The World Is Outside by Ghosts. Stay The Night and The World Is Outside are both good tracks to download if you like pop music.

I got a brilliant, leather bound one from Peter Jones on the Kings Road. Holds 200 pictures. Not a better one anywhere. :smt002

Andrew Bird!!! Fine taste there ceecee. My ex-next-door neighbour sends me demo/review CDs of stuff he reckons I'll find interesting, and Andrew Bird was among them. Top stuff. Anyone for Deerhoof?
