Malcolm O'Kelly and the Easterbury brothers could also have played for England as they were born there.

You can't blame the players. surely it's better to be capped for a country, any country, than not at all.Why hang around waiting for an England place, e.g James Hamilton, when you qualify, and can walk straight into Scotland first team?

Good luck to them I say. I just wish players could return to country of birth if they have not played for their addopted country for say 3 years. That way older PAcific Islander who have been dropped by NZ could return home to play and thus raise the standard at eh World cup etc.

How about this for a choice:

A player is born in the Channel Islands.
His mother is Argentinian.
His father is Italian.
His maternal grandmother is Romanian.
His maternal grandfather is Fijian.
His paternal grandmother is Australian
His paternal gramdfather is New Zealand.
He has resided in South Africa for 3 years.
He has not been capped at any level by any country.
He has the choice of 12 countries to represent....

As an aside, Jamie Salmon was capped by NZ and then by England.

Take into account, as well, that some of them have British citizenships and parents are English
