like this?

You use the font colour click box above - where it says default. click to bring the drop down menu, then select the colour you want. Enter your text between the two sets of square brackets, see if that works.

first click on your colour above

it;'ll say [colour=red][/color]

type your word in between the two sets of brackets where they go ] and [

then try preview to see if it works.

so it's like this

dont put spaces

its easier to write the text, highlight it and choose the colour.

interesting. I've tried quoting as Jess said, and it seems to work then. Maybe some of your settings need changing, but I don't know what....

Banburytiger,

Go in to your profile (via the Profile button at the top of the forum) and make sure that the "Always allow BBCode" radio button is set to "Yes.

You will need to click it so that there is a small dot in the YES circle, not the "No" one.

(BBCode is a special implementation of HTML that this forum template uses to allow users to make text bold, coloured, italic etc.)

I know that this is the problem as, when I go to edit one of your posts I can see that you have disabled the BBCode feature. While I can fix it in individual posts (see one of your messages earlier in this thread is fixed now) I can't change your profile permanently though so you will have to do that yourself.
