Tigers Players from Lutterworth

Does anyone know if any Tigers players (past or present) have come from or live in Lutterworth?

If not who is the closest........

John Allen, and Dickie Bird were both pupils at Lutterworth Grammer School and played for Tigers. Lynn Tatham was a Master at same School and played for Tigers.

David (Dickie) Bird made 285 appearances for Tigres 1960 - 73

I am too young to remember him, Bill!!

I never realised there had been more then one Dickie Bird!!

Was David as much a character as Harold!!

Quite a few from a close neighbour, Hinckley.
Some are currently playing, a number are British Lions.

I went to the Grammar School for a year to re-fail my O Levels !!!.....mission accomplished and my Mum has lived there for nearly 30 years now.
