being an oldie, I hadn't realised "to skank" was a verb. I read the title of this thread as "Bing Brother really SKANKY viewers" - a comment I fully agreed was applicable

BJ is top man.

Forsooth. It is not good wit to smatter one's Queen's English with chavvy utterances. Like, innit, OH MY GODDDDDDD! are the language of the brain dead.

But accents? Bring 'em on.

Edinburgh is delightful, Geordie is funny, Irish is welcoming.

I have real trouble understanding Scottish accents (even though half my family are Scottish). Anyone else have trouble with Ally McCoist on QoS. I only get about a quarter of what he says. It really ruins the programme for me, even though I like HIM. I just miss all the banter cos I don't get it.

Back to topic. Nicky is SO annoying. WHY is she back (flails arms around).

good one CT! hehe i refused to get into it this year but its on when im lying in bed so when i turn my tv on its just there

and i know what you mean about the scottish accents... but i think it depends on the area! the glasweigen accent is quite hard to understand... my old history teacher was from there i'd be sat there, ears straining thinking... is it just me?! didnt like history anyway so doesnt matter! and McCoist isnt so bad but there are the odd words...

Irish accents are sexy! I could listen to people like Keith Wood or Dara O'Briain and just melt into a heap, believe me!

Interestingly, when I spent my weekends and holidays in the Peak District and worked during the week in Leicester - the Derbyshire people told me I had a Leicester accent and the Leicester people told me I had a Derbyshire accent!! After a great deal of acting and some dialect coaching, I hope I haven't got much of either these days.

Actually I speak rather like the old BBC announcers in the black and white days....

Do you sound like the Queen?

I moved every couple of years as my dad was in the forces, so I am a complete mongrel. I sound a bit mid atlantic meets Cornwall meets Queen. People often stare.

I haven't watched BB for days, and suddenly she's back! Argh. Did people vote her back. NO! I caught half an hour last night and she seems to have got even more annoying. Like a cartoon of herself.
