The Hot Weather has broken (At least for a little while!)

Post by simon redshaw »

I am not sure how it is in other parts of the UK, but here in the South, we had thunderstorms and lightning last night.

There is now a cooler breeze today and it is raining very hard! Great for the garden and better not to have all the heat!

How's it elsewhere?

well i got home 30 mins ago and its lovely!! the first three hours of the rallyday were ace, the drivers were throwing the cars round the track at warpspeed, the mk2 escorts were awesome but then hirvonen ( ford works driver ) came on track and murdered everyone with some amazing sideways cornering ability. there's the science bit. yeah jess been tryin to sort my life out. complicated, but in a good way

Jess, they also escaped the worst of the weather at Hoylake!

Incidentally, they had a very bad thunderstorm and heavy rain at Trent Bridge and the match between Notts and Lancs in the Pro40 was abandoned after less than 20 overs of Lancs innings.

if they got the storm like we had then im not surprised the cricket has been rained off, the bottom of our garden is actually underwater even after having no rain for so long!

You certainly have had it heavy! The sky went blacker and blacker at Trent Bridge and the heavens opened. So yes they did!

It has been really bad down Tonbridge way with lack of rainfall and I was struggling to keep some plants going.

All part of the effects Jon!

Sounds like it a was a very interesting afternoon!

I saw Patrick Stewart in a play in London a couple of years. I forget the name of the play but it was very good.
