And there was always a baddie in the The A-Team who could take a full-on, jewellery assisted B.A. Baracus right-hook without even flinching.

Excellent Stu. That made me giggle like a girlie! However, I did have my first fight in 25 years in a local pub about a year ago. I won't bore you all with the story but she hit me first.... She didn't hit me again though!!!!!

It's a shame that roll people who are expected tobe roll models have to use violence although of course they are only human at the end of the day. At least I can blame my hormones...

Female fights are horrible. I had to push four fighting women out of a party once.

They all had their finger nails wrapped into each others hair and were consequently inseparable.

One of them threatened to have me duffed up by her borthers who were all big Irish navvies. (Her words.)

It never happened. They were probably concerned that little Spud would tear their throats out!

So Zidanes punishment is a ban for 3 games and a £3,260 fine.

How can you ban someone who has retired? :?

And we thought the RFU were strange.

PS Matterazi has been banned for 2 games and fined £2,170 for provocation.

I worked out Zidanes punishment to be the equicalent of me being fined £12. And I'll bet he's gutted by the ban as well!

Why is a football pitch a licence for animal and thick headed behaviour?

I am sorry I got carried away earlier in this thread but why isn't everyone disgusted at the the blatant cheating that goes on?

Other than WWF I cannot think of another sport where such histrionics are supported.

Lets get some standards and demand some honesty.

That's so typical of a man!!!!!! What happened to "sticks and stones may break my bones" . Your oponent has got exactly the reaction he wants if you hit out just from being insulted. If you are physically hit first, then that's a different matter, a bit of self preservation comes into play then.

yer but ur opponent also has no face left does he so whats worse???

Oh don't get me wrong I'm not saying your CAN'T continue with this "why didn't he just destroy the italian 'cause the authorities can't do anything to him" line, I'm just saying you probably SHOULDN'T as it's making you look silly. Think of it as friendly advice cheerfully lent.

Belper : you could ask them same question about the various punches, kicks, stamps etc etc that always seem to happen around the ruck in the rugger. The two games and the people whol play them aren't that different, they just operate under different parameters and scrutinies.

Here's a terreble joke to lighten this thread:
did you hear that Sophie Ellis Bextor had been found head-butted to death at a French disco?

They say it was 'murder on Zidane's floor"

(sorry!)

Donncha O'Callaghan and Bruce Reihana are the best players that ever lived. Don't even bother to argue with me.

And - however good Imanol Harinordoquy is, he is still an idiot

Yes, I saw that on another forum. The Llanelli Scarlets one!

For any Sophie Ellis-Bextor fans, rest assured as far as I know the lady is very much alive and well!
