Wow that takes me back. I can still picture Pan's People doing the woeful dance.

Right now it's Pearl Jam, Alive - or EvenFlow, love the rhythm of Evenflow, love the yelling in Alive...summer with the top down songs.
Me and you would get on CT. Chripy, chirpy, cheeep, cheep, was the first ever pop song I learnt to sing.

And I've just bought the new Pearl Jam album, it's pretty good. Pearl Jam Live is amazing.

Ashers, that's your cool rock-girl image completely shot now....and chirpy, chirpy cheep-cheep is a bit embarrassing too!

Thanks Stu, and the next song I learnt was Knock Three Times on The Ceiling if you Want Me. (Gasp, horror). Thank God my brother was into Led Zep, Sabbath, Yes, ELP, Rick Wakeman, Barclay James Harvest etc.

I did slide briefly into loving David Cassidy and The Bay City Rollers though but repented.

My sister bought me Jimmy Osmond's Long Haired Lover from Liverpool for my birthday because she liked Donny. Her taste hasn't got much better. I could have used your brother, Ashby. Mind you she did get into Deep Purple once she got a decent boyfriend!

Loving Metallica's version of Smoke on the Water at the moment too. Hard and fast. Though Kirk does do a bit of a poncy solo at the end which spoils it a bit. But you can always just gaze at him...Tried to listen to your Rush track, Ashby, but wouldn't play on my Itunes. I think we have similar taste. I'll give it another go.

I love doing Whole Lotta Rosie in the karaoke at the local pub, the place goes wild.

I also do a mean version of "Mamma he's making eyes at me" by Lena Zavarone!! (I'll get me coat now I think).

My woman's party piece is to do "Stand By Your Man" with such a southern belle drawl that "man" contains about 5 syllables.

She hates the song, but when it's your party piece, you're stuck with it.

My current favourite songs:
You Only Live Once - The Strokes
In The Morning - Razorlight
Is It Any Wonder - Keane
Drops Of Jupiter - Train
Pick A Part Thats New - The Stereophonics
Chasing Cars - Snow Patrol

No prizes for guessing what kind of music I like :P

Ah yes.

We had joy, we had fun, we had seasons in the sun.

And we had lots of similar vomit-inducing ballads too.

I named my first daughter Emily as the name always stuck with me from the haunting See Emily Play by Pink Floyd.

At the time, the name was very unusual for a girl. Only really old ladies were ever called Emily, so I felt I was being very original.

Then a few weeks later, Kevin Keegan had a daughter, called her Emily, and hey presto! The name went straight to number one in the Times List for that year.
