I only saw the game from the 14th yellow card  but I got the feeling the ref had lost it!

And the ref still missed a headbutt...

All those players suspended against England, and another injured, even our lot shoiuld be able to beat Portugal's reserves shouldn't we?

Dunno. We've already played four average teams and failed to sparkle.

I thought maybe we might come good against a decent team.

If the players can stop playing like a team of nervous strangers then who knows how far we can go!

The side needs freshening up. You have to admire Sven's results, but I susect that it's not just the supporters that want to see people like Lennon and Walcott coming into the team.

I think a lot of the players would too. Obviously none of them want to be dropped, but it seems to me that Lampard, Beckham et al are labouring a little.

I would even consider a 3-5-2 so we could have Cole, Lampard, Gerrard, Beckham and Lennon in an attacking midfield and Rooney and Walcott upfront.

Good news .... I can confirm that the sun rose this morning !

The weather is glorious, the birds are twittering away, and its far too hot to mow the lawn.

The headlines in the papers are wrong ...... the world has not ended. Hurrah !

I've just noticed that Wayne Rooney has been banned for 2 games (against the mighty Macedonia and Andorra !) and has also been fined £2,400 for 'that' incident last Saturday.

OK, some would say he deserves it.

On a different page of Teletext it says Maxi Rodriguez, the Argentinian who was caught on camera throwing punches, after the Argentinian defeat to Germany will face the same punishment.

I just wondered if anyone else felt as disappointed about this as I do. Surely, intentional/pre-meditated violent conduct (ie throwing punches) is a much more serious offence than a 'misguided foot' in the heat of the battle.
