The Times Crossword

Post by Old Hob » Thu Mar 24, 2016 8:59 pm

I delayed posting this until today to avoid giving a spoiler, but I was amused by yesterday's "Times" crossword to discover that "Leicester cop" is an anagram of "secret police"

Been struggling to find an anagram for RICHARD COCKERILL. The best I can come up with so far is: HARD ROCK RELIC (IRL). I'm sure someone can do better! :smt017

I remember a great cryptic clue in The Times a few years ago. Eight letters. Head of the miners' union. Any thoughts?

If he sussed out a particularly tedious training routine, we could go with I CRACK DRILL CHORE.
