Leicester born keyboard player of Deep Purple and co-writer of 'Smoke on the Water' passed away today. RIP. Condolences to his family and friends.

I heard it announced on the Radio 4 news just before I'm Sorry I Haven't A Clue. The spooky thing was we watched the Hairy Bakers later and clips from Space Truckin' and Lazy were played as background accompaniment.

Last night was a sad night. Rock on Jon. :supz:
