The answer to which was
TRUE GRIT
On the Fifteensquared blog (http://fifteensquared.net/2012/01/14/gu ... araucaria/) 'Eileen' commented
T[ime] + RU [Rugby Union] + anagram [played] of TIGER: hurrah for the namecheck of my home team! – this has to be my favourite clue [nice surface, too] – and, of course, the classic John Wayne film

I saw the remake of the said film by the Coen brothers and enjoyed it a lot, the girl playing the young girl character was fantastic. :smt023
