The death knell of Daybreak?
I must have witnessed dumb-Britain's most embarassing moment, even by its own cringeworthy standards.
Daybreak's utterly lightweight Dan Lobb and Christine Bleakley were gleefully bumbling through Simon Cowell and Adele's position on the "rich list" and then the FHM top 100 babes list, when they had to take a call from Pakistani politician Imran Khan.
What Imran said was dynamite. He accused the current Pakistani government as being the most corrupt in history. He explained the fury of Pakistani citizens that they had witnessed thousands of their soldiers being killed by Al_Qaeda when the main man was living within their midst all the time. And was he really there? Was he perhaps dead already?
If this telephone call had been to Paxman, Frost or anyone with half a brain, it would have been legendary.
As it was, Lobb and Bleakley just sat gormlessly unimpressed and got Khan off the phone as quick as possible. Lobb muttered something about "thanks for calling, that was really interesting" like he'd never been so bored in all his life.
Then the sucky pair got all excited because on the sofa was some unrecognisable actor who appears in a series that hasn't started yet.
If Daybreak is to be a TV Magazine programme about TV and magazines then fine. But please don't subject serious people and serious issues to this hopeless format. Divert all calls to the BBC.

Kinny - I edited the title of this, as you'd put "Daybeak" - hope that's all right.

Ooooooh! Does this mean that you are going to correct all future spelling mistakes or is Kinny singled out for special help?
Still keeping the faith!

I always help Kinny.
It's just that it jumped out at me and I wondered what "Daybeak" was - maybe a horse, or a new kind of breakfast cereal. Just trying to assist other users.

I just googled Daybeak. Thought it might be a real word somewhere in the world, but unfortunately not, just a lot of missing r's.

You are mounting an argument that there was no ambiguity caused by Kinny's spelling mistake? And that therefore Rizzo's correction was high handed and unnecessary?DCat wrote:I just googled Daybeak. Unlike uncle jacks horse, black range rover drivers and E=mc2?
You may have a point!

The death knell for Dayb(r)eak sounded the day it first aired.
The real issue, the crux of the matter, the question on everyone's lips is....why was Kin watching Dayb(r)eak in the first place?

Daybeak is, of course, a secret disguise worn by owls who don't want to be recognised in their nocturnal plumage.

Is that all owls, tawny owls, barn owls or Kinny owls?Rizzo wrote:Daybeak is, of course, a secret disguise worn by owls who don't want to be recognised in their nocturnal plumage.

Actually I've been out in 'Ull with some of the girls from the tack room. Went to see Jimmy Carr.Rizzo wrote:There is a distinct lack of Kinny on this thread...have we scared him off?
