The lady next door to me has overipe plums.

They need careful handling to avoid squashing them but when nibbled are delicious!

The lady next door admired my onions today.

And was impressed with my cucumber!

Let's forget the growing cucumbers and pose the question - What are you harvesting ?

What can I do with loads of split toms, grapes that seem to be all pips, bramleys that are so heavy that the branches are now almost on the ground but all small even though thinned and at least 8kg of blackberries now in fridge or freezer ?

Don't say crumble or pie we have been having about three per week lately, so have friends! any original ideas?
And their revenge is as the tiger's spring,
Deadly, and quick and crushing.

Just what I was going to say - maybe not with the blackberries, but even so it should be good. With the blackberries, how's about a bramble jelly?

Wine with the blackberries, for sure. Blackberry wine rocks.

My courgettes failed this year. :smt022

On the upside, I seem to have developed the largest colony of wasps ever recorded.

This seems to provide endless sport for our minature Jack Russell. She has killed zillions of the pesky fekkers without being stung.

She gives them a swift bite, rattles them around in her mouth and then gobs them out onto the ground to die. She's still unscathed. Amazing.

Couldn't send him round here could you? After saying we had no wasps, now we have many. I'm going to chop down those plum trees this winter. Horrible plums and attract the wasps. And eau de rotting plum isn't attractive garden scent either. Sorry to hear about your courgettes. We could do a deal: jack russell = body weight in courgette? His - not yours!! :smt002

But surely, according to Melanie's great opus "Glory! glory! Psychotherapy!"

"Freud's mystic world of meaning needn't have us mystified
It's really very simple what the psyche tries to hide:
A thing is a phallic symbol if it's longer than it's wide
As the id goes marching on."

You must have them funny squash type or you have some questions to answer about yours and Kinny's "lady" neighbours, Bill? :smt005

In answer to one of your previous posts, I would counter that you DO NOT have rotten plums. Far from it.
