People up at t' yard seem very divided on ginger biscuits.
My missus and those of her ilk won't allow anything ginger in the communal biscuit tin as they reckon that the ginger flavour infects every other biscuit.
Those pro-gingers amongst us have to have our own "ginger only" tin where we can store the evil little beggars.

Can we also say what we dislike? Those American things -Orio or something? which seem to consist entirely of sugar and lard.

Communal biscuit tins are anti-social and unhygienic!!Kinoulton wrote:People up at t' yard seem very divided on ginger biscuits.

Communal biscuit tins are fine at livery yards.
All the lasses stroke horses, clear up their poos, and bring excitable dogs that like to lick their own 'nads before trying to pinch the biscuits.
It builds up your immune system.
On to Old Hob. Orio biscuits are a real favourite up here, and the kids do actually dunk them in milk. Don't know why.
I never dunk. It spoils a good brew.

To dunk or not to dunk;
That is the question.
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind
to suffer attacks on the immune ststem;
or, by dunking, remove at least some of the nasties.

That is horrifyingly true in my experience !Kinoulton wrote:Communal biscuit tins are fine at livery yards.

My daughter is a crazed horse fan, and the STATE of the eatin' facilities at the farm makes me shudder, yet none of them are ever ill !
Kinny, do you work with horses ?
