Simpsons

Post by kuzza »

20 years on and still funny.

Guardian's got a list of their top 20 moments. http://bit.ly/7BIKJG

My top moment is when Homer stops James Bond escaping from Hank Scorpio's henchmen, Bond gets killed. Later, Homer tells the family he stopped a slacker at work.

What's your favourite Simpsons moment?

" Nibbles ! You did it ! Now chew through my ball sack"

I still laugh like a drain at that. Simpsons = best and most consistent omedy show ever IMO.

I didn't see the episode myself, but I was told that on the Simpsons, they referred to The Hundred Years War as "Operation Swift Resolution".

Best moment has got to be the entire episode where Bart is diagnosed with ADD. Unfortunately the Simpsons has been surpassed by King of the Hill and American Dad (maybe even Family Guy and South Park). It was the best background noise for school homework though!

Nah. They're ruder but not nearly so clever or subversive as the Simpsons IMO.

in the midst of reigniting the fire in their marriage, marge and homer do it everywhere in springfield...and towards the end, homer gets pulled away by a hot air balloon and smacks his naked hiney on the church's skylight in the middle of a sermon lol...classic knee slapper

Tricky one...as there are so many. I can't remember the episode name but it's the one where Sideshow Bob kidnaps Bart on his boat and is about to kill him, but Bart gets him to sing and act out a scene from HMS Pinafore (I think...Gilbert & Sullivan anyway) which buys him enough time for the boat to crash and Sideshow Bob to get arrested....that episode is up there with my favourites.

Lisa: Dad, if you're interested I became state Math champion today

Homer: Really sweetie?

Lisa: Yeah I won a new protractor

Homer: Too bad we don't own a farm

I like Homers song to the tune of The Flintstones

'Homer, Homer Simpson,
hes the greatest guy in history
From the town of Springfield,
hes about to hit a Chestnut Tree'

:smt003
"The beast got us, the Leicester beast."
