Good on yer.

I firmly believe that Christmas is a time to forget normal standards of boring taste and go for the gaudiest, sparkliest and showiest of everything.

Why thank you. I hope I win a prize! Mind you I was talking to a lady in the village last week who has made one with a turkey on her head and if you press a button it gobbles :smt001

I don't think I can beat that! :smt002

You beat a gobbling turkey hat as far as I'm concerned CT.

Can we get a photo of you lighting up?

Tried to take a photo before I went Rizzo and they looked rubbish, so tried again when I got back but my batteries had run out. Just picture mad middle aged woman, illuminating hat, it's really no better than that. Anyway the lady with the snowman hat won, and well-deserved. The turkey wasn't all it was cracked up to be, to be honest. I did win first raffle prize though so didn't sob all that much. :smt038

It isn't everyone who's lucky enough to get a goose at Christmas.

You haven't been hanging around the chippy in Aylestone Road by any chance?

Well in the spirit of festive cheer I'm pleased to report that I'm ready for Christmas.

In fact I've already put the weight on.

What is Christmas shopping anyway?

I've had a card today with a Christmas tree on it, decorations, star and all - the caption underneath said "Hope you find fun under your Holiday tree!"

Holiday tree? What's wrong with Christmas tree? If you want to be so PC about it, the tree itself is a pagan symbol so you could call it a Yuletide tree.

Holiday tree...PAH! :smt019
