Re: Poppy Appeal/Help for Heroes
Not only have I got my poppy this year, I've also got a wristband which I bought in one of the shops at Ypres - it's an official British Legion Poppy Appeal band with the year embossed on it and the words "We honour the dead. We don't forget the living." So many people have asked where I got it so they could get one that I wonder why they're not sold alongside the poppies.

Suz, not quite sure what you are referring to by your "do we" comment.
The memorial is on St Peter's Hill near the statue of Isaac Newton. The effort to raise money, and its dedication were very fully reported and supported by the otherwise awful Grantham Journal.
Spend a moment and have a look at it next time you are in town :)

Re: Poppy Appeal/Help for Heroes
I've got a Yorkshire Regiment wristband that they let me wear on the tele.
Most things are banned, such as they wouldn't let me wear my shirt with a Wallace & Gromit motif (something about who has rights to the image) but they don't object to things supporting soldiers.
The people who run the chain of shops that wanted to ban poppies should be told to open up a shop at Camp Bastion.

Kicks and scrums and ruck and roll.....Is all my brain and body need!

Thanks Fleabane.
I've been working away a lot and this must have past me by. Will go and have a look over the weekend.
