The stupidity of the guy is unbelievable.
It does seem some sports stars struggle to cope with being out of the limelight, once their playing days are over.
Lewis will have plenty of time to reflect on the thousands of things he could have been doing, rather than this disgraceful act.
Still, at least he's not an MP. Your average drug smuggler has far more moral integrity.

I saw this story and couldn't help but laugh. It's all just very...surreal; an ex-international cricket caught as a drugs mule.

And I've just realised I left a typo in the thread title. Tsk!
Anyway, I'm sure I've read that customs officers routinely "profile" who they are going to search, and that any black man travelling alone from the Carribean back to UK was routinely searched because of the immense amount of drug traffic on those flights.
So he was doubly stupid.
And just to head off any racial overtones, I was profiled by Spanish police and was stopped on the border with France, because I was a white Englishman travelling alone by car, and we are a damned good target.
Didn't bother me a bit as I don't even take asprin!
And the little black mongrel sniffer dog that searched every inch of my car was amazing.
